Scene Inspection & Data Capture
Grounded in data. Captured with precision.
At 4ensic Impact LLC, we specialize in capturing real-world conditions with high technical accuracy. Our on-site inspections and data collection services are the foundation of reliable forensic visualization — ensuring that every animation, diagram, or analysis is built on measurable truth.
Whether documenting a crash scene, testing visibility at night, or capturing vehicle geometry, we bring the tools, technology, and methodology needed to gather court-admissible data.

Aerial Drone Surveys with Ground Control (GCP)
We use drones equipped with RTK/PPK positioning and ground control points to survey crash scenes, intersections, and large environments. This allows us to create accurate geospatial maps and 3D terrain models that align with real-world coordinates and elevation data.
True-Scale 3D Modeling via Photogrammetry
Using high-resolution photos captured from ground or air, we generate photogrammetric models that reconstruct crash sites, architecture, or terrain in three dimensions. These models can be used for measurement, simulation, and visualization.
Laser Scanning of Crash Sites and Vehicles
We perform terrestrial LiDAR scans of vehicles, infrastructure, and roadway features to document every angle with millimeter accuracy. Laser scans preserve critical details like deformation, distances, and line-of-sight obstructions.
Structured Light Scanning for Products & Small Objects
For detailed inspections of consumer products, tools, or components, we utilize structured light scanning to create highly accurate 3D meshes. This is ideal for product liability, mechanical failure, and design defect investigations.
Technical Photography & Calibrated Video Capture
We capture site conditions with calibrated DSLR photography and stabilized video, including reference grids and scaling tools. Our footage can be used in visual studies, matched to video sources, or referenced in animations.
GPS and VBOX Data Logging
We conduct drive-throughs of crash routes or surveillance paths with GPS and VBOX systems to log speed, position, and braking data. These logs are often synchronized with dash cam video or used for speed/time calculations in crash reconstruction.
Nighttime Visibility & Conspicuity Testing
When visibility is a factor, we conduct nighttime site visits using industry-standard testing procedures, including:
Headlight and streetlight testing with photometric profiles
Light meter measurements at scene-relevant distances
Reference photography using camera-matching and calibrated exposures
Conspicuity evaluations from witness or driver POVs
These studies help assess what could or could not be seen under actual lighting conditions — critical in pedestrian, cycling, and use-of-force cases.
The Kinsey Scale was revolutionary because it showed that sexuality isn't a simple binary. Taking the test can be a validating experience for anyone who doesn't feel 100% straight or gay.
